Glide Bait , into the next era
The Doran 127F seamlessly blends the attracting power of hard baits with the naturalness and softness of soft baits. This gill-type hybrid lure offers versatile uses to entice bass bites and minimizes the risk of losing the fish. Attaching a snap to the line eye on the nose allows for basic surface fishing techniques such as dead sticking, dead slow retrieve, straight retrieve, and straight retrieve. Attaching a snap to the side eye on the body enables a side-to-side swimming action. Furthermore, attaching the included sinker to the weight hole at the base of the lip instantly changes the lure's sinking speed from slow to fast. It's versatile enough for a wide range of techniques, from stop-and-go action to cranking with a straight retrieve, and even dead sticking at the bottom for sight fishing. It can even be used to entice bass by hanging it on sparse twigs in prime spots using its small lip. The natural-looking rear body not only enhances its attracting power but also significantly reduces the difficulty bass typically experience in swallowing gill-type hard lures. It folds up as it's sucked in during a bite, enabling a solid hookset. With its adjustability that allows for on-site specification changes depending on the bass's situation, and the unique features of a hybrid, the Doran 127F redefines the concept of gill lures.
Usage Method 1 | Surface Dead Sticking, I-Shape Retrieve, Dead Slow Retrieve
This technique is effective when bluegill are floating near the surface, such as during the post-spawn period. With a shape that imitates a bluegill, the way the tail moves naturally is just like a real bluegill. Its alluring appearance can trigger a bite from bass that are hesitant to bite.
Usage Method 2 | Surface Side-to-Side Action
By setting the snap to the side eye, the entire flat body grips and releases water, achieving a side-to-side action that boasts overwhelming fish-attracting power. The way it rubs its head against floating obstacles, rocks, and walls such as seawalls is just like a bluegill being chased to the shore and fleeing in panic.
Usage Method 3 | High-Speed Stop & Go
By attaching an external weight (2.0g), it becomes a slow-sinking specification. A stop-and-go technique with varying speeds, such as rapidly turning the handle 2-3 times with a high-gear reel and then stopping, creates a flat-side-flapping action unique to lures with a high body when stopped, giving bass no time to think and prompting them to bite.
Usage Method 4 | Mid-Layer Side-to-Side Action
By setting the snap to the side eye and attaching an external weight, a side-to-side action can be achieved even in the mid-layer. This allows you to target areas that lures normally cannot reach, such as under overhangs and floating boats. You can catch bass that were previously safe in the deepest, most inaccessible spots.
Usage Method 5 | Bottom Sight Fishing
By attaching an external weight (3.5g), it becomes a fast-sinking specification. By placing it on the bottom in the direction the bass are moving, it imitates defenseless bluegill or crucian carp. Combined with the alluring hybrid design, it induces aggressive, forceful bites. By removing the treble hook on the belly side and attaching a #4 treble hook to the side eye, you can reduce snags while also improving the hooking rate.
