This is the "Ise-ni" hook, a staple for shore fishing and big game fishing, with a thick, sturdy shaft and an "eye-attached" type that makes tying the hook easy and convenient. The hook point is sharp and slightly curved inward to prevent it from coming loose. This hook is specifically designed for targeting large stream fish such as salmon, char, and brown trout.
The "long taper" hook point penetrates the hard jaws of large fish in an instant.
Its deep, resilient pockets effortlessly deflect even the most furious rolling attacks.
