The goal was to achieve the longest casting distance with a φ34mm spool.
Equipped with a φ34mm G1 duralumin IM spool that combines highly responsive startup that anyone can experience with excellent casting distance in the latter half of the cast. The spool unit itself weighs a mere 8.7g (excluding the spool ball bearings), making it the lightest in the φ34mm series.
The new IM board significantly improves casting accuracy and battery life, delivering superior performance with every cast. It has evolved into a powerful reel that can handle a wide range of distances, from short to medium range to long-distance casting.
The most distinctive feature of the IM Z series is its evolving brake mode. It starts with four brake modes. In each brake mode, the casting data accumulated with the IM Z series has been thoroughly analyzed and fed back into the design to accommodate a φ34mm spool. Whether in freshwater or saltwater, from a boat, shore, or wading, it captivates a wide range of baitcasters with its overwhelming long cast and castability.
Even though it's a 100-size reel, a high-performance drag is essential to take on trophy-class targets. The multi-plate drag system with carbon washers provides excellent responsiveness and a maximum drag force of 6kg, thoroughly supporting all anglers. It also features the first-ever electronic drag sound in a baitcasting reel. By eliminating physical resistance during drag operation, it delivers a smooth drag performance that cannot be experienced with conventional mechanical drag click structures, leading you to land quality fish.
